ESPE2010

Abstract Submission

Deadline for abstract submission 10 March, 2010
Notification of abstract acceptance Early June, 2010

General Information
ESPE aims at a high profile in the scientific and ethical content of the meeting. It is the author(s) responsibility to ensure the scientific and ethical aspects of the abstract(s) comply with ESPE standards.

Review Process
Abstracts are evaluated by 4 or more referees. An adjustment is made to avoid tilting the balance with generous or harsh referees and outlier scores are eliminated, giving each abstract a mark allowing their ranking. Ranked abstract are then selected by the POC for free communications or poster presentation. During this process, nor referees nor the POC have access to names of authors and/or centres. The decisions made by the POC are final. Abstracts are not eligible if already presented at an international meeting or would be published prior to the ESPE meeting.

Disclosure of Conflict of Interest
All abstract presenters (invited and abstract submitters) must declare any potential conflict of interest on the abstract submission link. Invited speakers and presenters of free communications will also have to incorporate a disclosure slide in their presentation (a template will be sent with the presentation guidelines). Disclosure is mandatory for all presenters, whether they have a conflict of interest to disclose or not.

ESPE President Awards for Best Posters
The ESPE President Awards for best posters are voted by Programme Organising Committee members after the last poster session and are given to 5 first poster presenters. The winners will be announced by the President at the ESPE President Poster Award’s session prior to the Closing Ceremony. The voting criteria will be based on the scientific content and style of poster.

The Awards consist of an official ESPE Award Diploma, a Presidential gift and a place in the official listing among ESPE Award Winners in the following year.
