Presentation Instructions

Speaker Support Centre

The SSC hostess will be happy to welcome you to a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Highly experienced and skilled technicians will assist you to transfer and check/correct your presentation.

Once your presentation is processed in the Speaker Support Centre (SSC), you are strongly advised to familiarize yourself with the controls of the Cue-it ® program, which is used to display the presentation. The technicians are more than willing to explain the features of this system. The practice-system supplied is an exact copy of the one used in the lecture room.

All speakers giving a presentation are requested to validate, upload and test their presentation in the SSC a minimum of two hour before the session starts, or the day before if the session is at 07:30!
Presentations received after this deadline cannot be guaranteed with optimal audiovisual support.

Peak hours of operation in the SSC are during coffee breaks and lunch breaks. In order to maximise your time in the SSC, and the attention that we are able to give you, we highly recommend visiting early in the morning or during the sessions.

Restrictions

Personal Laptop Computers cannot be connected to the projectors in Lecture Rooms

A Presentation cannot be loaded directly on the computer in the lecture room.

If you are a mac-user, make sure that you check-in early with the Speaker Support Centre for your mac-presentation to be converted to a pc format.

In the lecture room

In the lecture room, you will open your presentation, by touching the box with your name on the touch screen. Moderators will follow the presentation on a dedicated monitor placed in front of them.

There is a mouse pointer embedded in the Cue-it system, which we recommend using instead of a conventional laser pointer, as they will be difficult to see on most projection screens.
